Rhodes grass is one of the most nutritious evergreen fodders which are cultivated successfully in a hot and humid climate. Once established, good yields can be obtained for at least three years. Farmers should cultivate Rhode grass in heavy loamy soil with good drainage. The crop can be sown twice a year from January to February by seeds and July -August by the roots. 5 to 8 kg seed or 11000 to 12000 cuttings are enough for one acre.
