Farmers should irrigate maize at least 6-8 times and before flowering apply urea to get good yield.

Farmers are instructed to add 1 bag of urea per acre when maize crop reached 1 ft and when the height is 2.5-3 ft, again 1 more bag of urea should be added. So that bumper production of maize can be achieved. Farmers should add urea before flowering and irrigate at least 6-8 times to get a good yield of maize. Irrigate it according to crop condition and requirement, don’t allow the crop to dry during flowering and milking, otherwise production will be adversely affected. Maize crop cannot tolerate excess water. Therefore, in case of heavy rainfall, the excessive water should be immediately removed from the field.
