Fences around orchards protect plants and fruits from the harmful effects of heat

Tall trees planted as a fence around the orchards protect the plants and fruits from the harmful effects of heat, so gardeners should not prune these trees during the summer so as to avoid damage to the plants due to extreme heat. During summer, to the main branches of plants a mixture of copper sulphate and lime should be applied as it can protect plants from the effects of heat because in this way the bark of the stem is protected from bursting.
The newly planted plants are more affected by heat, so shade these plants with reeds, straw or sackcloth etc. Frequent ploughing and hoeing in the orchard should be avoided as it cause soil temperature to rise to unfavorable level, causing damage to plants.
During establishing new orchards, jantar crop should be cultivated during initial few years, as it help reduces the effect of heat on the newly planted small plants and therefore the growth of the plants would be better and they will be less likely to be damaged by extreme heat. Moreover, when buying plants from the nursery, gardeners should select plants with well-developed root system.
