Vice Chancellor Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture (MNSUA) Prof Dr Asif Ali said that fish feed prepared from crops could be a cost effective option for fish farmers to increase their profit margin. He said that Pakistan is an agriculture rich country and fish farmers could earn more, provided they use feed made from crops to nurture fish in ponds. He said that Pakistani population could improve protein intake by including fish food. He said that Rohu, grass carp and Gulfam fish are being nurtured, and the process of research had also begun in MNSUA. The research would prove to be beneficial for local fish farmers.
