Protection against citrus canker

Rainy season increases the risk of canker on citrus plants. Citrus canker is spread by bacteria that attack leaves, tree branches and fruits and stain their characteristics by reduces quality. In addition to grapefruit and paper lime, the disease has also been reported in Kinnow. For chemical remedies, first spray Bordeaux mixture at the rate of 1% during monsoon season, second spray of copper oxychloride at the rate of 3 grams per liter of water at intervals of 20 days, and third spray of Topson M at the rate of 2 grams per liter of water.
